Veterinarians

Stephanie Henry, DVM
Stephanie Henry, DVM

Veterinarian

Dr. Stephanie Henry joined the staff at Boone Veterinary Hospital in 2009, shortly after graduating from the Iowa State College of Veterinary Medicine. She enjoys educating clients about preventive care and building relationships with clients and their furry families. She is honored to be able to help families navigate end-of-life decisions and provide a peaceful passing when needed.

When she is not at the clinic, Dr. Henry enjoys cooking, camping, home remodeling and construction projects, and spending time outdoors. She lives on an acreage outside of Luther with her husband Justin, a harlequin Great Dane named Moose, and a long-haired cat named Willow.

Tanja Frye, DVM
Tanja Frye, DVM

Veterinarian

Dr. Frye grew up in western Nebraska and attended Chadron State College for her undergraduate degree. She graduated from Iowa State in 1987 with her veterinary degree and practiced in the Des Moines area until 2023. Dr. Frye is a member of Memorial Lutheran Church of Ames, Cyclone Country Kennel Club, Des Moines Obedience Training Club, Des Moines Golden Retriever Club, Golden Retriever Club of America and the Mid Iowa Retriever Club.  These associations allow her to participate in numerous dog sports with her three Golden Retrievers. Dr. Frye and her husband Casey have lived in Ames Since 1984.

Elizabeth McClure, DVM, CCRT

Owner, Doctor

Dr. McClure grew up in the Midwest and finished high school in Connecticut. She earned her veterinary degree from Ross University School of Veterinary Medicine and practiced in a clinic in Indiana before moving to Iowa. In 2006 Dr. McClure bought Boone Veterinary Hospital and moved the clinic into a new state-of-the-art facility in 2018. Dr. McClure’s interests include soft tissue surgery, ultrasound, cancer medicine, and finding the best preventions and treatments for each individual pet. She has a daughter who shares her love of animals big and small, and a Standard Poodle, Tug, who acts as a greeter at the clinic. In her free time, Dr. McClure enjoys gardening, outdoor activities, cooking, and traveling.

Kathrine Brezina, DVM
Kathrine Brezina, DVM

Veterinarian

Dr. Brezina graduated from Iowa State University College of Veterinary Medicine in 2023 and began working at Boone Veterinary Hospital shortly after. Her special interests include dermatology, preventative medicine, and geriatric care. In every appointment, she values client education, minimizing patient stress, and practicing high quality medicine on a spectrum of care.  Outside the clinic, Dr. Brezina enjoys hiking, crafting, and baking. She resides in Boone with her husband and their spoiled pets: Bell (yellow lab), Zora (bulldog and  shih tzu mix), and cats River and Huckleberry.

Haley Rauch, DVM

Veterinarian

Dr. Rauch graduated from the University of Missouri College of Veterinary Medicine in 2023. Following veterinary school, she completed an equine internship before transitioning into private practice. Dr. Rauch enjoys soft tissue surgery and geriatric care. She currently lives in Ankeny; however, is originally from southwest Missouri. In her free time, she enjoys reading, hiking, and caring for her plants. Dr. Rauch has two dogs, Barley and Gracie, and one cat, Raz.

Emily Myers

Assistant, CSR

Emily joined the Boone Veterinary Hospital team in 2024.  She has a deep love for animals and fell in love with veterinary medicine when she started her first veterinary assistant job in 2022.  Emily enjoys not only getting to interact with animals on a daily basis but also likes being able to help improve their lives.  In her spare time, Emily likes to hang out with her own critters at home.

 

Teejay Davidson, Assistant, CSR

Teejay has worked at Boone Veterinary Hospital since August of 2013. She attended Iowa State University and studied Animal Science. Outside of work, Teejay has a son, Oscar, whom she follows along on all his sports adventures. She also has two pets, Romy, the golden retriever who likes to eat things she shouldn’t, and Stanlee, the cranky calico cat. In her free time, Teejay enjoys reading and going on walks.

Assistant

Gina started working at Boone Veterinary Hospital in January of 2024. She grew up raising horses and dogs on her family farm, which is where her love for caring for animals began. Gina graduated from Ellsworth Community College with a degree in Animal Science in 2021. In her free time Gina enjoys spending time with her friends and family, playing with her corgi Milo, and outdoor activities with her boyfriend.

Kendra Wirth, Veterinary Assistant

Veterinary Assistant

Kendra has been a Veterinary Assistant since 2013, and joined Boone Veterinary Hospital in 2023. Kendra’s favorite part of her job is working in surgery and especially doing dental cleanings. In her free time, Kendra enjoys volleyball, bowhunting, gardening, cooking, baking, canning, trivia, attending ISU sports events and helping on her family’s farm. In addition to their herd of cattle, she and her husband Dan have a Miniature Australian Shepherd named Penny and a cat named Katniss. They also have a flock of chickens, ducks, and turkeys.

Assistant

Savannah started working in the veterinary field in 2023, and graduated from Iowa State in May 2024 with a Bachelor’s degree in Biology.  She has enjoyed developing meaningful relationships with both the clients and patients at Boone Veterinary Hospital and hopes to continue furthering her education in the field. 

At home, Savannah has a Great Pyrenees/Saint Bernard named Benny and an English Mastiff named Leo.  Outside of work, she enjoys gardening, weightlifting, fishing, being outside, and spending time with her pups and family.

Malorie started at Boone Veterinary Hospital in 2015. She quickly knew that her life long passion was in Canine Rehabilitation. Malorie graduated from Penn Foster College with a Veterinary Technician degree. Shortly after completing technician school, Malorie received her certification in Canine Rehabilitation through CRI. Malorie’s love and passion for animals has driven her to listen to each individual patient and allowed her to help set up the best rehabilitation plan for each patient.

Registered Veterinary Technician

Tiffany has worked at Boone Veterinary Hospital since 2006. She received her Veterinary Technician license from DMACC in 2010. Tiffany’s technician superpower is blood draws and catheters!  In her free time Tiffany enjoys spending time with her family, running, and traveling.

Sara Moeller, RVT
Sara Moeller

Registered Veterinary Technician

Sara has been with the Boone Veterinary Hospital since September, 2006. She joined Boone Veterinary Hospital shortly after graduating from DMACC’s Veterinary Technology program as a Registered Veterinary Technician. Sara enjoys being able to educate pet owners on a daily basis and helping them to give their pets the best possible care. She has loved getting to know so many pet owners and their pets over the years. Sara lives in Boone and is a life-long resident of Boone County. She trains and competes in many dog sports with her Jack Russell Terrier, Izzy, including Nosework, Barn Hunt, Flyball, Agility, Fast CAT, and CAT. She enjoys dog training, riding her horse Reno, running, reading, watching movies, and spending time with family and friends.

Paige joined Boone Veterinary Hospital in 2024. She started working here because she has a passion for animals and loves giving the best care to each and every one of them. In her free time, Paige likes to paint, listen to music and go hiking; however, she spends most of her time at home with her cats.
